The precise arrangement of nano-objects on the surface (meta-atoms) allows the realization of materials with properties that do not exist in nature, which we call \u201cmetasurfaces\u201d. We have developed a completely bottom-up methodology to arrange colloidal nanoparticles into arbitrarily complex meta-atoms with unprecedented precision.
