Dans le cas important des alliages de surface de silicium, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment pr\u00e9dit dans la litt\u00e9rature qu\u2019un d\u00e9p\u00f4t de silicium inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 la monocouche sur une surface d\u2019argent (001) conduit \u00e0 la formation d\u2019un alliage de surface pr\u00e9sentant des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s topologiques int\u00e9ressantes. Dans cet article, nous avons \u00e9lucid\u00e9 la structure atomique de l\u2019alliage form\u00e9 : il est compos\u00e9 de motifs planaires de double-pentagones li\u00e9s pour former des cha\u00eenes de Si quasi-1D stabilis\u00e9es par la pr\u00e9sence de paires d&rsquo;atomes d&rsquo;Ag. Cette g\u00e9om\u00e9trie a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9termin\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une \u00e9tude combinant des outils th\u00e9oriques (DFT) et exp\u00e9rimentaux (STM, surface XRD). La structure \u00e9lectronique associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019alliage de surface form\u00e9 est en excellent accord avec les mesures ARPES publi\u00e9es dans la litt\u00e9rature.
