Themes

My research activities lie in the edge between physics, chemistry and nanotechnology. I am involved in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, in light-matter interaction at the nanoscale and in the realization of devices for optoelectronics. I've got expertise in the domain of photovoltaics, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials,  thin films, optics, plasmonics, surface functionalization, biosensing.

Recherche

My current research is focused on the development of monocrystalline materials with an arbitrary nanoscale pattern, fabricated via non-standard bottom-up approaches, for opto- and nano-electronic devices. This inclues the following aspects:

1) Synthesis of monodisperse, monocrystalline nanoparticles

2) Assembly of colloidal nanoparticles into nanopatterned template via capillary forces

3) Characterisation of optical, electrical and structural properties of individual nanoarchitectures

4) Fabrication of bottom-up devices that make use of the 3D real estate space
