Thèmes

Lionel Santinacci received a Ph.D. from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne(EPFL) in 2002. He performed post-doctoral studies on Li-polymer batteries by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy at Aix-Marseille University (2002-2003). In 2003, he joined the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (ENSCP) as non-tenured assistant professor to investigate the localized corrosion by in situ AFM (2003-2004).

In 2004, he got a CNRS research scientist position at the Lavoisier's Institute of the University of Versailles to continue the work on the anodic surface structuring of III-V materials such as InP in both aqueous and non-aqueous electrolyte.

In 2009, he moved to the Center for Interdisciplinary Nanoscience of Marseille (CINaM) where he was appointed Senior Research Scientist in 2024. There, he works on electrochemically grown one-dimensional nanostructures such as TiO2 nanotubes, Al2O3 nanoporous membranes and porous Si. These nanostructures are functionalized by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) for energy production and storage with special emphasis on solar water splitting.

Additionally, he is Region SUD PACA Representative of the Center of Competences in Nanoscience and Nanotechnolgy of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (C'Nano PACA) with Nicolas Bonod.
