For nearly 40 years now, the JSI has provided an annual forum bringing together French specialists in condensed matter (solids and soft matter) in the field of the physical chemistry of surfaces and interfaces. The topics covered span a very broad spectrum, ranging from the creation of surfaces and interfaces, their structure, and their organization to their electrical, magnetic, mechanical, optical, and reactivity properties at the micro- and nanoscale.
