Mastering the wave

"The classical manipulation of a wave is traditionally done by using the phenomena of refraction/diffraction in photonic optics and by the use of fields in electron optics.  In our case, this manipulation is done:- At the level of the source: this allows us to set up a low energy holographic electron microscopy (from ten to a hundred eV) - At the level of the wavefront: by an innovative optical and/or electro-optical device made of a transparent membrane with controlled porosity allowing for example the realization of a small size lens (a few mm3) in photonic optics (UV, X) and electron optics (100 eV to 1keV). - At the detection level: by spatial recording of the diffracted intensity, which allows the implementation of microwave imaging.
