Self-organization of red blood cell suspensions under confined 2D flows

In an article published in Soft Matter, the PIV Department shows that healthy red blood cells flowing in microchannels self-align in files. By combining in-vitro and in-silico experiments,

Blocking stemness and metastatic properties of ovarian cancer cells by targeting p70S6K with dendrimer nanovector-based siRNA delivery

Jing Ma, Shashwati Kala, Susan Yung, Tak Mao Chan, Yu Cao, Yifan Jiang, Xiaoxuan Liu, Suzanne Giorgio, Ling Peng, and Alice ST Wong Mol. Ther., 2018, 26, 70-83 Metastasis is the cause of most (>90%) cancer deaths, and currently lack of effective treatments. In this study, we demonstrate the potential advantages of using rationally designed

Mesoscale structure, mechanics, and transport properties of source rocks’ organic pore networks

A multidisciplinary team reveals the three-dimensional geometry of the pores contained in the organic matter (kerogen) of oil and gas source rocks by electron tomography.

Control of light scattering with silicon nanoparticles

Nanogap Antennas to Enhance the Fluorescence of Single Molecules

Silicon nanopillars for antireflective coatings
