Introduction

The research activities of the Nano Materials: Synthesis and Properties (NMSP) department cover a wide range of studies, from fundamental research to the development of innovative materials.

The department's members mainly use a variety of experimental methods to study the structure and mechanisms of formation and assembly of materials from the atomic to the micron scale.

They seek to understand the physicochemical properties of engineered or natural materials and aim to optimize their functional properties.

The department has more than 50 members (13 faculties, 13 researchers, 2 engineers/technicians, 9 post-docs, 14 doctoral students, and 5 emeriti).

Research is organized around two main areas:
